The WCA Annual Conference is fast approaching and we look forward to seeing you in Wisconsin Dells October 12-14, 2008. We expect this to be one of the best conferences ever.
As you may know, each year counties pass resolutions to be considered at the conference. Such resolutions, if adopted at the conference, immediately become part of the WCA platform of positions and are lobbied upon.
To ensure adequate review and discussion by steering committees and the resolutions committee, a deadline for submission of resolutions to WCA has been established. All resolutions need to be in the WCA office by the close of business on Monday, July 14, 2008 to be considered at the annual conference. Resolutions received after July 14, 2008 will be referred to the WCA Board of Directors for action. Once we receive your conference resolutions a confirmation will be sent to the county clerk confirming receipt of the conference resolutions. If you do not receive a confirmation from WCA prior to the resolution deadline, please contact the WCA office to make sure they were received.
Please keep in mind that resolutions submitted by your county need to be acted on by the full county board.
