WCA District Meetings, which are held biennially following the spring elections, concluded last week after seven meetings around the state.
In addition to updates from the association, elections were held for the WCA Board of Directors, the Wisconsin County Mutual Insurance Corporation (County Mutual) Board of Directors, the Wisconsin Representative to the National Association of Counties (NACo) Board of Directors and the Wisconsin County Capital Projects Commission.
Those elected to the various boards and positions include:
WCA West Central District
WCA Board: Howard Ludwigson, Eau Claire County
County Mutual Board: Richard Johnson, Dunn County; Wayne Hendrickson, Clark County
Wisconsin County Capital Projects Commission: Richard Creaser, Dunn County
NACo Director Nominee: Keith Langenhahn, Marathon County
WCA Northwest District
WCA Board: Randy Tatur, Rusk County
County Mutual Board: Hal Helwig, Sawyer County; Eldon Skogen, Rusk County
Wisconsin County Capital Projects Commission: Doug Finn, Douglas County
NACo Director Nominee: Keith Langenhahn, Marathon County

The WCA Board of Directors sets policy direction for all 72 counties statewide. The Board consists of 20 county officials nominated from each of WCA's seven regional districts.
The Wisconsin County Mutual Insurance Corporation insures 54 of Wisconsin's 72 counties and provides general liability, worker's compensation and other insurance coverages to these units of government.
The Wisconsin County Capital Projects Commission provides the organizational structure for counties participating in the County Mutual's Owner-Direct Insurance Program.
The NACo Director nominees will be elected at an upcoming WCA Board of Directors meeting.
