 During the Wisconsin Counties Association (WCA) strategic planning process, increasing communications with counties was identified as a top priority. As part of our effort to increase communications, WCA will be holding regional legislative meetings on an annual basis.

The Wisconsin County Human Service Association (WCHSA) is creating a part-time contract position that will provide administrative services, technical advice and association representation. The contracted individual must show success in interacting with human services board members and administrators, public agency personnel, providers of services, legislators and the public. The position requires some overnight travel, public speaking ability, negotiation skills, computer skills and securing sufficient revenues.  U.S. Communities is pleased to announce that Fairfax County, Virginia, after a nationally advertised competitive solicitation, has awarded Allsteel, Haworth, Herman Miller, Krueger International (KI) and Knoll a contract for office furniture. The contract was awarded through the U.S. Communities Government Purchasing Alliance and is available for use by public agencies nationwide effective May 1, 2007.
